"Halleluyah! Sing
to Adonai a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful. Let Israel
rejoice in their maker, let Zion's children take joy in their king. Let them
praise his name with dancing, make melody to him with tambourine and lyre;
for Adonai takes delight in his people, he crowns the humble with
salvation...
Halleluyah!
Praise God in his holy place! Praise him in the heavenly dome of his power!
Praise him for his mighty deeds! Praise him for his surpassing greatness!
Praise him with a blast on the shofar! Praise him with lute and lyre!
Praise him with tambourines and dancing! Praise him with flutes and
strings! Praise him with clanging cymbals! Praise him with loud crashing
cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise Adonai! Halleluyah!"
Psalm 149 & 150
These Psalms describe
Davidic music and dance as a complete way to worship Adonai. Through
it we can express joy, praise, love and thanksgiving while entering into
God's Holy presence. Messianic music
provides the foundation for such worship.
Worshipping before the Lord in music and
dance releases us from the cares of this world, and focuses our souls upon
the relationship God has and wants with us. It ministers into our very
being and refreshes us with the joy of the Lord. |
